ME! "Tra-la-la-la-la..."

"Look out, Squirrel! There's bears in dem woods"

censored.....censored.....cens....

I'm okay. You should see the other guy!

Hi, guys and gals. Reporting in from my "black" week. Thanks for your, thoughts, prayers and good vibes. It was much appreciated. I did run into bears and after a lengthy brawl, we decided to call it a tie and retreated to our corners. Anyway, that's old news. It is time to look out for a brighter week ahead.

I hope you're feeling as good as the lone grey squirrel in that first picture.
I hope to post something for Easter soon (a shift from the series about political speeches)

You made it through with your usual fine humor, I see.

I'd love to read details about the work, pain, brawls, etc. ...you know, if you ever need to "process" them here.

cz,
I have entered a period of "Cold War", so I doubt if it will be smooth but somehow, despite coming out of the encounter licking my wounds, I have gotten a second wind and feel a lot more positive about the work and reaching my objectives. It's good.

ruth,
thanks fellow bear survivor. ( I refer to workplace bears).

janice,
I was so busy I didn't even get my daily dose at your blog. I look forward to catching up.

marja,
It wasn't a pleasant week but I got through it. Thanks for your positive thoughts.

tom,
thanks. Sorry I haven't been around much. look forward to your Easter series.

jocelyn,
There I was seriously wounded on the battlefield with no hope in sight but my sense of humor picked me up and dragged me out of there. One of Spike Milligan's famous sayings became my mantra, "Ouch! I feel no pain!" As to the details, they are work related and has to do with personalities and politics (ugly mix) and just get in the way of the real work. I make it a point not to discuss work issues though on this blog though other than some of our public events.

hi LGS, now this is one of the cutest and best posts i've seen (the originality that is; not the actual war!). may your week be blessed with unsinkable joy!!!

LGS, did you hear me wincing all the way here on the East Coast of the U.S.? I think your bears may have whet their appetite in our workplace, the carnage was horrific (we were spared physically but not emotionally). I am just glad you're still standing on your feet, scurrying up a tree and perhaps dropping some seriously heavy walnuts on those who would seek to do you further harm.

LGS, I was doing the happy dance today (and you know why, thank you for the good wishes) but this post made me do it all over again! I'm glad you're back in the world of the living! I don't know what you went through but I can imagine it was tough enough to make you retreat and rest. It's always good to do that. I missed your posts but I'm looking forward to reading great posts from you soon.

sylvia,

squirrelmama,
sorry about your own run in with the bears. Hope it has not spoiled your happy disposition.

downtowner,
Glad you are doing your happy dance over your good news. My news pales in comparison but thanks for doing the dance again anyway.

It isn't actually over. We've just retreated into our trenches to glare at each other. But I do not hold grudges nor wish to wallow in anger so I am just happy to see the sky.

gerbil,
Thanks. Into each life some rain must fall and into each life some bears may claw.

nancycle,
Hi there stranger, nice to see you on my comments page. Hope all is well with you.

tai,
Thanks, my friend.

claire,
What a nice and encouraging thing to say. I have to admit that occasionally I fall short and still do freelance for the devil.

odat,
But then you have never seen a bear-squirrel fight! :)

Jo said...

Yay! The rascally squirrel is back!!!!

I hope everything is okay with you. Gosh, how is the bear doing, after you got through with him? Okay, I hope.

You are in my prayers today, Brother Sqirrel! It's all going to work out well for you, of course. Put on your cap of 'favor'. God Bless you and get some rest. Rest!!!!
