One Year Old

on Sunday, October 14, 2007

With so many things happening, I missed the occasion of my 10,000 visitor and I almost missed my one year blog-anniversary. However, I started my blog on October 9th 2006. I have done 220 posts and have had almost 11,600 visits to my blog. However, these numbers mean less to me now than when I started because I have made many friends in the blogosphere and these are the real rewards of blogging.

It has been a roller coaster year for me and I thank those of you who have joined me for that ride and for your support.

Where do I go from here? I never imagined I had enough material to churn out 220 posts. I don't really know how much material I have left and how much further it will take me. I have no intention to end anytime soon but I imagine a day will come when I will stop before I scrape the bottom of the ideas bin. In the meantime, you can take the poll on my sidebar or leave a comment and I might just take up some of your suggestions.

Happy Birthday to you. I missed my one year, but not by much. I too never imagined I'd be writing so much, but I'm glad.

You are a total hoot...! Congratulations! I don't think you will ever run out of material, because every day new material presents itself in this journey called life, doesn't it? You have to much to share, I hope you don't stop blogging for a very long time.

My one year was back in August. I don't post as much as you. I love your writing and think you should write more about your work. My ab fav magazine is Natural History, so I love learning about what is happening in your part of the world and everything having to do with the environment. So please continue LGS, I'm sure you have lots more to say that is interesting.

Oh you're probably just going through a dry spell. Especially with all that's been going on in your life. You'd be surprised how randomly a good post idea will just pop into your head. Sometimes you get several at once.

Happy Blog birthday! I awarded you the "I'm fabulous" blog award. You'll have to come by for a visit!

Can I have a piece of cake?

Happy blog-birthday! Is it a bloggery? A bloggeration?
I am not taking part in the poll, because it is good what you decide to blog and write about, I'll be happy with that.
There is so much life to be lived! "Blog' on, you (crazy) diamond!"

This is a remarkable milestone. You have many faithful readers. I wish I knew how to "track" such things. I don't know how many posts I've written (though I could count them I suppose) but I really wish I had a way to know if anyone reads besides by left comments or glances at my profile. What program do you use to track visits?

I guess many of us started about the same time. I am very glad we found each other although I don't remember how. I really enjoy reading your posts on your life.

How many years would it be for you? Much more than one year old, I think.

Thanks. Them are real kind words.

Thanks. Very kind of you to say so. I look out to hear more about Paradise and also Carribean Paradise.

thanks. I enjoy being a hoot. But honestly, the idea bin is not bottomless.

So you too are a year old. Congrats. Thanks for the suggestion. I would like to write about my work but I also have to be careful cause someone reading my post could identify me and affect the work. I'll try to up that area of content though.

please write more about your travels and your Hungarian roots!

Ah, such flattery makes me blush!

You are a writer my talent and nature whereas I cannot be a prolific writer. I do fear the ideas fountain will run dry.

thanks for the kind words.

You are so generous with the awards. Thanks.

Thanks, my friend. I also find your posts very interesting.

For someone as creative and intelligent as you, that end will never come, because each new day brings new opportunities to seize and describe.
