Thoughts on Growing Old

on Monday, November 12, 2007

It's now 12.30 am on Monday. I'm sleepy and really am not conscious enough for upper brain functions and thoughts. Instead I offer you quips which were sent to me by my good friend, Helen the Greek Goddess. I particularly believe in the last one.

Well, one of the advantages of getting older is that your eyesight starts to deteriorate a bit, so you can't see your own wrinkles. There is a bright side to everything. :-)

Like your positive outlook. Super Kat.

Glad you like them.

I will soon be getting bifocals. It's all downhill from here!

Thanks. I hope the message of the last one is strongest.

I drew them. (pregnant pause). You weren't fooled? Okay. I have no idea where the photos come from. It was sent to me by a friend in UK.

They say as you grow old, you shrink. Hasn't happened to me despite the diet!

You "get" them? Unfortunately, I am "giving" them away! :)

Any excuse to stop eating tasteless health food!

I always get the smiles at your blog.

The last one is kind of a "get out of jail" card.

I helped my sis in law move yesterday, primarily some very heavy furniture.

It felt good to be manly and brawny or at least pretend to be.

But I couldn't help but wonder how many more years I'll be able to do that.
